Donald Mitchell
Union School of Theology Librarian
Bridgend
Single handed librarian who has worked at UST (formerly WEST) since Sept. 2011. The seminary is independent, non-denominational, drawing from a variety of reformed backgrounds both for staff and students. We teach at UG, PG and also run research degrees. Taught degrees are validated by the Open University, and research by the Free University in Amsterdam. Most of the student body are studying in distance or mixed distance/intensive campus modes of delivery, with only about 20 campus students on FT BA, and one or two MTh students. I came to UST after 29 years in school and Further Education (Community College equivalent) librarianship.
PERSONAL: Married, 3 adult daughters. My wife and I are members of a local independent reformed evangelical church. My hobbies include reading (mainly Roman history, various Christian literature, fantasy and SF), cycling, hill & mountain walking, and home improvement.
